TonerWest wants your empty cartridges for several good reasons!!! Many of
these spent cartridges can be reutilized, extending the useful life of the
materials consumed in the manufacturing process.
Customers are also encouraged to trade in types which will not be
remanufactured, however. This way we can ensure that you are indeed picking
up the right replacement cartridge, the plastic and leftover ink within can
be disposed of correctly, and you get a return for your efforts.
You will receive more credit for ink or toner cartridge types which might
pass the quality control checks they will endure during the remanufacturing
process. For most virgin (haven't been rebuilt or refilled previously) ink
or toner cartridges, you will receive $1-$2 toward purchase of your
replacement cartridge. With some types currently more in demand by the
industry, we are happy to offer more for these, especially for the newer
series cartridges from HP and Lexmark, and more recently, Dell inkjets.
Along the same lines, some empty laser toner cartridges will see a return of
up to $5 or $10.
No matter which cartridge you recycle or how much you get for doing it, we
can all agree that it is much better than pitching them in the garbage to be
buried at a later date.
Thanks for your interest, and for being a small but integral part of the
solution, and for not adding to the waste generation problem.
Markets and cartridge requirements can and will fluctuate, but a list of
