Q. What is a remanufactured cartridge?TOP
A. A remanufactured cartridge is a cartridge that has not been discarded after it's first use and allowed to be reconditioned to be used again. This valuable and sophisticated device has been saved and reprocessed from an original cartridge. The recycled cartridge is then cleaned and key components are replaced , then it is refilled with the correct type of toner or ink , depending on what type of cartridge it is.

FACT: Currently, many of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (O.E.M.) toner cartridges are actually re-manufactured. Most "New" toner cartridges are re-manufactured toner cartridges. It is stated on most O.E.M. boxes "Made in Japan from the highest quality new and recycled materials" or "This cartridge may contain reconditioned parts and remolded material from cartridges returned in the Apple Clean Earth Campaign."

FACT: The Original Equipment Manufacturer cannot void your equipment warranty for using re-manufactured cartridges. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (O.E.M.) cannot void a Warranty of Service Contract for using a re-manufactured cartridge. The brand of supplies you purchase is your decision. You are not required by any machine manufacturer's warranty to use only its brand. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act reinforces this right of the enduser.

Q. My cartridge ends in a G or D not A! Is there a difference?TOP
A. When you first purchase an hp printer some of the hp cartridges, it will end in a G or D. Cartridge numbers that end in A will still work with your printer! The last letter on most HP cartridges simply tell you, how much ink is in the cartridge. Cartridge numbers ending in A usually are higher capacity cartridge (more ink).

Q. What is your defect rate?TOP
A. It depends on the cartridge and the remanufacturer. Overall all remanufactured cartridges have a 2% defect rate. If you suspect a defective cartridge please call our store (520-459-7809) and we will trouble shoot the problem with you. If you are still unsatisfied with the quality please return it to our store and we will test it and give you a replacement if it is determined to be a manufacturer's defect.

Q. What is the TonerWest guarantee?TOP
A. Everything we sell is backed by a 100% guarantee. For 60 Days from the date of purchase. *Restrictions apply - Receipt of purchase required. Call the store for details 520-459-7809.

Q. My computer says the cartridge is empty?TOP
A. Unfortunately the gauges for a cartridge will seldom work properly after an ink cartridge has been remanufactured. The problem is that these gauges do not actually measure the amount of ink in a cartridge. They just measure how many pages the cartridge has printed and then estimate how quickly you will need a new cartridge. Even with new OEM cartridges these gauges only serve as a guide. If a cartridge ever reads empty just leave the cartridge installed, shut off the printer and computer and then restart everything. This takes care of almost all problems. This information can also be found on hp's website.

Q. When installing a cartridge my computer says Incorrect Installation?TOP
A. This is a common problem that can affects both new and remanufactured cartridges. It typically affects C6578A, C1823D. C6625A, 51645A, and C6615A cartridges. A quick fix for this would be to remove and reinstall the cartridge, shut down the printer, turn the printer back on and print a test page. If this does not work clean the cartridge contacts on the back of your cartridge.
